JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Atlantic Sun Conference released its 2026 beach volleyball postseason honors on Tuesday afternoon, with a number of Colonels receiving recognition.
Senior
Molly Shomock was named to the All-ASUN Second Team after posting a 17-11 record this season. Shomock excelled in conference play, going 6-2 against league opponents. Alongside partner
Riley Cutler, she finished 10-9 at the No. 1 flight and 7-2 at the No. 2 flight.
Her most notable performance of the season came against North Florida, when Shomock and Cutler defeated the Ospreys' top pair, 9-21, 21-18, 15-12. The honor marks just the second all-conference selection in program history, following
Paityn Walker last season.
Sutton Sales earned a spot on the ASUN All-Freshman Team after going 17-10 this season. Sales is one victory away from tying the program record for most wins by a freshman with 18. She has been a force at the No. 4 flight, where she owns a 14-9 record.
Paired with fellow freshman
Carlyn Mcallister, the duo opened the season with seven straight wins. Sales has been one of the key contributors in EKU's standout freshman class.
Rounding out the postseason honors,
Gabriella Armitage,
Sami Deidesheimer,
Arilyn Lee, and Shomock were named to the Academic All-ASUN Team for their work on the sand and in the classroom.
The Colonels now turn their attention to the ASUN Championship in Huntsville, where they will face No. 3 seed Florida Gulf Coast after a historic regular season.
