RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women’s soccer team (5-7-2, 3-2 OVC) is riding a three match win streak and currently sits alone in second place in the OVC. However, the Colonels will face two of the toughest teams in the conference this weekend in UT Martin and Murray State.
UT Martin (7-3-2, 2-1-1 OVC) is in fourth place while Murray State (8-4-2, 4-0 OVC) currently sits atop the league.
EKU will play UT Martin on Friday at 4:00 and Murray State on Sunday at 1:00. Sunday’s match is Senior Day for the Colonels.
The Colonels are led by their defense, which ranks fourth in the OVC in goals allowed. Through fourteen matches this season, the defense has only allowed 16 goals. The most goals they have allowed in a single match is three, and that has only happened twice. Sophomore goalkeeper
Stephanie Lynch ranks first in the conference in saves (87) and second in save percentage (.853).

Laura Caldon (three goals), sophomore
Alex Hartwick (two goals) and freshman
Heather Bruce (two goals).
