Clemson Downs EKU in NCAA Women's Tennis Tourney

CLEMSON, S.C. – The 2013 season came to an end Friday afternoon for the Eastern Kentucky University women’s tennis team as the Colonels fell to No. 13 Clemson in the opening round of the NCAA championships, 5-0.

Eastern concludes the year 19-7 overall. Clemson (15-7) advances to face No. 19 Vanderbilt in second round action tomorrow.

This was the second straight season and third time in the last five years that EKU qualified for the NCAA championships. The entire starting line-up will return again in 2014.
