LEXINGTON, Ky. – In its 2015 indoor opener, the Eastern Kentucky University men's tennis team fell to No. 18 Kentucky by a score of 7-0.
Senior
Daridge Saidi was involved in Eastern's closest match as he split sets against UK's Beck Pennington at No. 2 singles. However, Pennington prevailed in the decisive set, 6-1.
Making his first appearance as a Colonel, freshman
Ramon van Flymen fell at the No. 4 singles spot.
In doubles, the No. 1 contest went to a tiebreaker, but senior
Juanjo de la Llera and junior
Alex Álvaro came up just short against Pennington and Kevin Lai.
Eastern Kentucky returns to action next Friday, Jan. 23 in its first home match against Dayton.
