RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's tennis team took down Belmont Saturday afternoon by a score of 5-2.
The Colonels (10-5, 4-0 OVC) jumped on top of the Bruins (6-7, 1-2) by taking No. 2 and No. 3 doubles for the doubles point.
In singles, EKU won four of the six contests in straight sets. Senior
Daridge Saidi clinched the team victory with a 7-5, 6-2 triumph at the No. 3 position. Sophomores
Sebastian Mueller (No. 4) and
Diogo Soares (No. 5) as well as senior
Juanjo de la Llera (No. 6) were victorious as well.
Eastern Kentucky concludes its hectic weekend with a home non-conference match against Radford tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
