LYNCHBURG, Va. – The EKU men's tennis team pulled out a come from behind win, clinching the final three singles matches of the day to pick up a 4-3 win over Liberty University on Saturday.

"There were alot of momentum swings in this one," Head Coach Rob Oertel said. "It was nice to see a comeback win after being down. Wins like these are great for confidence." 

Sebastian Mueller and Diego Asis teamed up for a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles, before Diogo Soares and Indra Patwardhan took down Liberty's Diego Castano and David Bush to give the Colonels the doubles decision and a 1-0 lead.
 
However, Liberty claimed the first three points of singles play to take a 3-1 lead in the match and a single point away from the win.
 
EKU's seasoned veterans Florian Graskamp and Soares, along with newcomer Guillem Sanchis battled back to pick up the match's final three points to give the Colonels their first win of the spring.

"Florian simply took care of business," Oertel said. "He was not going to be denied."
 
The Colonels are back in action on Sunday as they travel to take on the top-ranked University of Virginia. Sunday's match is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Boyd Tinsley Courts at the Boar's Head Sports Club.
