RICHMOND, Ky. –The baseball team finishes up its four game home stand when the Colonels welcome Coppin State to Earle Combs Stadium for a three-game series starting Friday at 4 p.m.
 
The Colonels (2-6, 0-0 OVC) are coming off a 9-0 home-opener victory against Bowling Green State University on Wednesday. The Eagles (1-4-1, 0-0 MEAC) are coming off a 3-1 loss at the Naval Academy on Wednesday night.
 
EKU's offense is led by Daniel Harris IV and Will Johnson. Harris is batting a team-high .333 with one home run, four runs, and eight hits. Johnson is hitting at a .304 clip to go along with his one home run, four RBIs, and seven hits.
 
Eastern will send Aaron Oschenbein (0-0) to the mound Friday night. He will go up against junior right-hander Aaron Rea (0-2).
 
Saturday EKU will send Austin Perry (0-1) to the mound. Perry has struck out seven batters over six and two-thirds innings. The Eagles will send Quinn Gleed to the mound. He has 0.68 ERA over 13 and one-third innings pitched.
 
Kaven Brown (0-1) will get the nod in game three against fellow junior Branden Redfern (0-0).
 
After they finish up the weekend series at home, the Colonels hit the road to take on the University of Kentucky on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
