RICHMOND, Ky. – Jack Briese,
Gavin Faulkner and
Griffin Howell were selected to the 2026 Academic All-District® Baseball Team by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
The Academic All-District® Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Briese, a redshirt senior, finished two undergraduate degrees in business and Spanish with a 3.61 GPA. He also has a 4.00 GPA while pursuing a master's in business administration. The 6-foot right-handed pitcher from Danville, Kentucky was 2-3 this season with a 6.96 ERA in 32 1/3 innings pitched.
Faulkner, a senior, completed an undergrad degree in sport management with a 3.68 GPA and is pursuing a master's in business administration. He is a 3-time Atlantic Sun Conference Honor Roll selection. The 6-foot-2 left-handed pitcher from Lexington, Kentucky was 2-4 this season with two saves and a 7.02 ERA. He struck out 44 batters in 33 1/3 innings of work.
Howell compiled a 3.65 GPA while majoring in sport management. The 6-foot-1 junior right-hander from Tecumseh, Ontario was 1-3 with a 4.83 ERA and three saves in 2026. He struck out 26 in 31 2/3 innings.
