Baseball Travels To Take On In-State Rival Western Kentucky, Game Time Moved To 2 P.M.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The baseball team hits the road for an in-state rivalry game against Western Kentucky on Tuesday at Nick Denes Field. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.
 
Admission is free.
 
The Colonels (5-11, 0-3 OVC) are coming off a three-game series against Belmont University. The Hilltoppers (9-7, 0-0 C-USA) are coming off a three-game sweep of Bowling Green State University.
 
EKU's offense is led by Ryland Kerr and Daniel Harris IV. Kerr is batting a team-high .355, with four doubles, two triples, and seven RBIs. Harris IV is hitting at a .327 clip to go along with one double, one triple, one home run, and seven RBIs.  
 
WKU's offense is led by Jacob Rhinesmith and Sam McElreath. Rhinesmith is hitting a team-best .412 with two doubles, two triples, seven home runs, and 18 RBIs. McElreath has a .360 batting average, with one double, one home run, and four RBIs.  
 
The Colonels will send freshman Will Brian to the mound on Tuesday. He is 1-1 on the year with a 5.91 ERA and 11 strikeouts over 10 and two-thirds innings pitched. Evan Acosta, a junior left-hander, will start for WKU.  He is 0-0 with a 5.23 ERA over 10 and one-third innings this season.
 
Eastern Kentucky has a short turn around when they travel to Nashville and take on No. 11 Vanderbilt University. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on SEC Network+.
