LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Senior
Liz Marcinek highlighted the weekend by breaking her own school record in the women's long jump, as the Eastern Kentucky University track and field teams competed at Louisville's Lenny Lyles / Clark Wood Invitational at Cardinal Park.

Marcinek jumped 19-9.75 on Saturday, shattering her own record of 19-6.25, which she recorded at the Hilltopper Relays on April 6. That currently puts her at No. 2 in the OVC and No. 48 in the NCAA East Region.

Sophomore
Ke'Asia Johnson-Bell, meanwhile, delivered a personal-best time of 14.25 in the women's 100-meter hurdles, putting her at No. 5 in the OVC.

On the men's side, senior
Tom Koringo clocked a season-best time of 1:52.2 in the 800 meters (No. 3 in the OVC), while sophomore
Nickson Rotich – the 2017 OVC bronze medalist in the half-mile – made his season debut by running 1:53.4 (No. 5 in the OVC).

In field events, junior
Yoshua Reed notched a season-best leap of 22-7 in the long jump (No. 7 in the OVC), while sophomore
Jacob Alleyne recorded a personal-best 46-4.25 in the triple jump (No. 7 in the OVC).

EKU will compete at the Kentucky Relays in Lexington next Saturday, May 5. The OVC Outdoor Championships will be held May 11-12 in Cookeville, Tennessee.
