RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University baseball team welcomes East Tennessee State University and Northern Kentucky University to Earle Combs Stadium on Tuesday and Wednesday for a pair of midweek non-conference games.

First pitch on Tuesday is scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday's game against NKU will begin at 6 p.m.
EKU Athletics is saying "It's On US!" at Tuesday's game against ETSU. Come out early and take the pledge to intervene and create a campus climate where sexual assault/violence is not acceptable and survivors are supported. The first 100 attendees will receive an "It's On Us" t-shirt. Also, be sure to listen for our facts and information about sexual violence periodically throughout the game.

The Colonels (15-17, 8-4 OVC) are coming off a weekend sweep of conference foe Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. The Buccaneers (17-11, 4-5 SoCon) are coming off a weekend series win, where they took 2-of-3 against Virginia Military Institution.

EKU's offense is led by
Ryland Kerr and
Alex Holderbach. Kerr is batting a team-high .346, with 12 doubles, two triples, one home run, and 16 RBIs. Holderbach is hitting .330 to go with seven doubles, one triple, and a team-high seven home runs and 38 RBIs. He is hitting a scorching .429 over his last 10 games.

Eastern's offense ranks fourth in batting average, third in runs, and first in stolen bases in the Ohio Valley Conference. Â Â

ETSU's offense is led by Chris Cook and Christian Bailey. Cook is hitting a team-high .336 with seven doubles, three home runs, and 17 RBIs. Bailey has a .324 batting-average with 11 doubles, one home run, and a team-high 25 RBIs. Â

Bryan Quillens will get the nod for the Colonels on Tuesday. Quillens is 1-1 on the year and will be making his first start of the 2018 campaign. He will face off against Daniel Sweeney who is 1-0 on the year with an 8.04 ERA.

On Sunday, EKU Head Coach
Edwin Thompson picked up his 100th career win as a head coach when the Colonels took down SIUE, 11-8.

Following these two home games, Eastern Kentucky takes to the road for a weekend conference series at Austin Peay.
