ORLEANS, Mass. – Aaron Ochsenbein combined for a no-hitter with Stetson's Mitchell Senger on Sunday for the Orleans Firebirds in the Cape Cod League.
 
Senger started for the Firebirds and went eight innings allowing no hits and two runs against the Brewster Whitecaps. Ochsenbein came in and closed the door on the no-hitter by striking out the side in the ninth inning for his sixth save.
 
There was a little drama in the ninth, Ochsenbein set down the first two batters via the strikeout before walking the third batter of the inning. He quickly erased any thoughts of a comeback as he got the next batter looking on strike three.
 
Ochsenbein's impressive summer continues as he ranks second in the Cape Cod League in saves with six and ranks sixth in the league in strikeouts per nine innings with 18.5. He carries a 4.26 ERA on the summer with 26 strikeouts over 12 and two-third innings pitched.
 
The Firebirds returned to the field Monday night when they took on the Northeast Scout team at Fenway Park. Ochsenbein played two innings in right field.
