RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky will play its first Ohio Valley Conference series at home this season when Tennessee-Martin visits Earle Combs Stadium this weekend.
 
Friday's series opener is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and will air live on ESPN+.  Saturday's game will begin at 2 p.m.  Sunday's series finale is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  Eastern Kentucky leads the all-time series 51-19.
 
-  The Colonels have won eight straight games against the Skyhawks.
 
-  EKU has won seven straight regular season series against UTM.  The Skyhawks last captured a series against the Colonels in 2011. 
 
THE COLONELS
-  Eastern Kentucky is 11-10 after suffering an 8-4 loss to Miami (Ohio) on Wednesday.
 
-  Will Johnson leads the conference in stolen bases (16) and walks (25).     
 
-  The Colonels have 56 stolen bases.  That is fifth in the nation and 21 more than any other Ohio Valley Conference team.
 
-  Nick Howie is tied for first in the OVC with seven home runs, second with a .740 slugging percentage, second with a .516 on-base percentage and third with 21 RBIs.    
 
-  The trio of Logan Teague, Kaven Brown and Brennan Kelly will start on the mound for the Colonels for the sixth straight weekend.  Teague, a senior right-hander, is 1-2 with a 5.40 ERA.  Brown, a senior right-hander, is 4-1 and sporting a 3.03 ERA.  Kelly, a junior left-hander, is 2-2 with a 4.21 ERA.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Tennessee-Martin is 8-12 this season and 2-4 in OVC play.  
 
-  The Skyhawks won two of three at Southeast Missouri in their first conference series, but was then swept at home a week later by Belmont.
 
-  Casey Harford has a team-best .394 batting average.  Jordan Stoner leads the team in runs (14), RBIs (13), stolen bases (4) and is second with a .346 average.

-  Junior left-hander Sam Folks will start for UTM on Friday.  He is 3-0 this season with a 1.87 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 33 and two-thirds innings.  Austen Bullington, a senior right-hander with a 1-3 record and 3.86 ERA, will start on Saturday.  Sophomore righty David Hussey has the series finale.  He is 1-2 with a 7.40 ERA.
