The series opener on Friday has been changed to 4 p.m. ET. Games two and three on Saturday at 6 p.m. ET and Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.

- EKU swept the series last season in Richmond, scoring 10 or more runs in all three games. The last time the two teams met in Edwardsville, the Cougars won two of three in 2017.Â

THE COLONELS
- Eastern Kentucky is 14-12 after suffering a pair of midweek defeats at home to Western Kentucky and Dayton. Last weekend, the Colonels evened their OVC record at 3-3 with a sweep of UT Martin.

- In three games against UTM, the Colonels averaged 14.3 runs per game.    Â

- The Colonels have 60 stolen bases. That is sixth in the nation and 10 more than any other OVC team.

Nick Howie is tied for second in the OVC with seven home runs, second with a .483 on-base percentage, and tied for third with 23 RBIs.Â
Will Johnson leads the conference in stolen bases (17) and walks (28).Â

Kaven Brown leads the OVC with five wins and is fifth with 39 strikeouts.

Brennan Kelly will start on the mound for the Colonels for the sixth straight weekend. Teague, a senior right-hander, is 2-2 with a 5.56 ERA. Brown, a senior right-hander, is 5-1 and sporting a 2.95 ERA. Kelly, a junior left-hander, is 2-2 with a 4.55 ERA.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- SIU Edwardsville is 8-14 overall and 4-5 against conference teams. Â

- The Cougars lost to Evansville on Wednesday, 9-5. SIUE lost two of three at Belmont last weekend.

- Peyton Cordova-Smith leads the team with a .328 average. Dustin Woodcock has a team-best 16 runs scored to go along with 11 RBIs. Raul Elguezabal is hitting .289, has three home runs and a team-high 20 RBIs.

- Sophomore right-hander Collin Baumgartner will start the series opener for the Cougars. He's 0-3 with a 7.16 ERA, but has 34 strikeouts in 27 and two-thirds innings. David Llorens, a sophomore lefty, who is 2-2 with a 2.59 ERA will start game two of the series. Kenny Serwa has made one appearance and one start this season. The junior right-hander is 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA.
