RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky baseball team will host Oakland for a three-game series this weekend at Earle Combs Stadium.

Friday's game has been postponed due to poor weather conditions. The two teams will now attempt to get the series started on Saturday at 10 a.m., if conditions allow. The Colonels and Golden Grizzlies will then play a doubleheader starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Monitor EKUSports.com for any changes to the weekend schedule.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  Eastern Kentucky leads the all-time series 7-1.
 
-  The two teams most recently played a three-game series in Lexington on Feb. 24-26, 2017.  The Colonels swept the series, outscoring the Golden Grizzlies 14-7.  
 
THE COLONELS
-  Eastern Kentucky is 7-5 after losing two of three against Boston College and Evansville last weekend.   
 
-  The Colonels have 37 stolen bases.  That is third in the nation and 16 more than any other Ohio Valley Conference team.
 
-  Will Johnson leads the conference in stolen bases (9) and walks (16).     
 
-  Nick Howie is second in the OVC with 18 hits.
 
-  The trio of Logan Teague, Kaven Brown and Brennan Kelly will start on the mound for the Colonels.  Teague, a senior right-hander, is 1-1 with a 4.24 ERA.  Brown, a senior right-hander, is 3-0 and sporting a 0.48 ERA.  He has allowed just nine hits, one earned run and struck out 24 in 18 and two-thirds innings.  Kelly, a junior left-hander, is 2-1 with a 3.38 ERA.
 
-  Brown leads the conference in wins and ERA.  
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Oakland is 0-10 this season.   
 
-  The Golden Grizzlies were swept in a four-game series at Morehead State in February, getting out scored 44-18.
 
-  Mario Camilletti leads the team with a .351 batting average, eight runs and is tied for the team-lead with seven RBIs.
 
-  Nick Parr, a senior right-hander, is scheduled to start game one of the series.  He is 0-2 this season and has allowed 28 runs in 14 innings.  Andrew Hoffman, a freshman right-hander, will toe the rubber for game two.  He is 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA in two starts this season.
