RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University track and field teams will continue the indoor season at Marshall's Thundering Herd Invitational this weekend in Huntington, West Virginia.
WHAT TO KNOW
The meet gets underway at Jeff Small Track on Thursday night with the discus.
Action continues on Friday with the pole vault at 5:30 p.m. and wraps up with the 5,000 meters around 9:00 p.m.
A majority of the events will take place on Saturday, beginning with the long jump at 9:30 a.m. and ending with the 4x400 relay at around 4:45 p.m.
The Colonels currently own two OVC-best marks so far: junior
Ashley Barr in the women's 800 meters (2:14.1) and junior
Zak Kirk in the men's 3,000 meters (8:23.0).
Several Colonels, however, rank in the top-three in the conference: sophomore
Quantasia Perry in the women's 200 meters (No. 2 / 24.74), freshman
Viola Seromot in the women's 5,000 meters (No. 3 / 17:20.8), freshman
Emma Garcia-Palencia in the women's pentathlon (No. 2 / 3,434 points), senior
JP Ferraro in the men's 400 meters (No. 2 / 49.49), freshman
Ezekiel Rop in the men's mile (No. 3 / 4:14.7), freshman
Keeton Thornsberry in the men's 3,000 meters (No. 3 / 8:33.8), sophomore
Bryce Favors-Charleston in the men's high jump (No. 3 / 6-3.5) and sophomore
Brandon Brookfield in the men's pole vault (No. 2 / 15-1).
