BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Eastern Kentucky University's beach volleyball team lost a pair of matches on the final day of the UAB tournament.
 
The Colonels (0-4) lost to UAB, 5-0, in the first match before losing to Nicholls, 5-0, in the second.
 
In match number one, the No.4 pairing of Lindsey Wilkins and Adria Hartley fell in the opening set, 18-21. The pair stormed back to take the second set, 21-16, to even the match at 1-1. The Blazers took the final set 15-11.  
 
No.3 pairing Kaylin Johnson and Kennedy Wilson lost 21-14 and 21-12.
 
Nicholls (1-3) defeated Eastern, 5-0.
 
No.1 pairing Sydney Schoen and Katelynn Caserma-Kloeble lost the opening set 21-16. The pair took the second set 23-21 to even the match at 1-1. Nicholls took the final set 15-12 to take the set.
 
Raegan Alexander and Jovana Bulatovic lost 21-16 and 21-17.
