EKU Beach Volleyball Set To Host First Ever Match Next Tuesday Against Morehead State

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's beach volleyball team is set to host in-state rival Morehead State University on Tuesday for its first-ever beach match at the new EKU Beach Volleyball Facility.
 
Due to COVID-19 seating limitations, the capacity for the facility this spring is 52 fans. No seats for the general public are available for the match on Tuesday.
 
The pre-game ceremony will start at 5 p.m.  The facility is located next to Alumni Coliseum and Earle Combs Stadium.
 
Commemorative mini volleyballs will be given out while supplies last.

Board of Regents Chair Lewis Diaz and EKU President David McFaddin will start with opening remarks. Diaz, McFaddin and head coach Johnna Bazzani will follow with a first serve of game balls presented by athletes on the team.
 
The match is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
