JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Five Eastern Kentucky University track and field student-athletes will compete at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships this weekend at North Florida's Hodges Stadium.
Freshman
Kayla Smith will race in the first round of the women's 100 meters at 7:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 27.
Redshirt sophomore
Quantasia Perry will compete in the first round of the women's 200 meters at 8:45 p.m. ET on Thursday.
Junior
Ahmed Jaziri and freshman
Pedro García-Palencia toe the line on Friday night at 6:10 p.m. ET in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Redshirt freshman
Laura Taborda will go on Saturday night at 6:10 p.m. ET in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase.
The top-12 finishers from every event at the East Prelims will advance to the NCAA Championships June 9-12 in Eugene, Oregon.
