EUGENE, Ore. – Eastern Kentucky University junior Ahmed Jaziri will race in the finals of the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Friday night on ESPN2.
 
The race is scheduled to go off at 8:24 p.m. ET.
 
Jaziri will be one of 12 men vying for a national title in the steeplechase. The native of Rades, Tunisia went down on the final water jump in Wednesday's semifinal, but recovered to earn the final automatic qualifying spot in a time of 8:37.8.
 
EKU has now sent a man to the NCAA steeplechase finals in six of the last seven years.
