RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University track and field team will compete for the first time in 2022 at Kentucky's Jim Green Invitational this weekend at Nutter Field House in Lexington.
The meet begins with field events at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The day wraps up with the 200 meters around 7:30 p.m. Action resumes on Saturday at 11 a.m. and concludes around 5 p.m. with the 4x400 meter relays.
Fifteen teams are expected to be represented at the meet, including EKU, Kentucky, Ball State, Bellarmine, Butler, Cincinnati, Dayton, Miami (Ohio), Northern Kentucky, Rutgers, Transylvania, Tulane, Ohio and Kentucky State.
Admission to the meet is free.
Eastern opened the indoor season on December 11 at the Cardinal Classic in Louisville. Senior
Quantasia Perry broke her own school record in the indoor 200 meters at that meet, clocking a time of 24.00.

Aniya Matthews (No. 6) both rank in the top-10 in the country in the women's 200 meters.
Following the Jim Green Invitational, the Colonels return to action at the Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville on January 29.
