WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – It was a record setting day for EKU on the final day of the Wake Forest Invitational with two program records falling.
Taha Er Raouy claimed the men's 1,500 meters record with a time of 3:39.48, currently the 15
th fastest time in the country this season.
Not long after,
Brighter Jepchumba set a new outdoor record in the women's 5,000m at 15:28.09, the fifth fastest time in Division I this year.
Elsewhere,
Metrine Serem ran a personal-best time of 4:17.69 in the 1,500m placing her third all-time in the EKU records books.
In the field,
Amya Livingston threw a personal-best mark of 14.58m in the women's shot put, the third-best outdoor mark in EKU history.
Alex Camarca broke into the men's top-five all-time in the javelin with a throw of 60.71m, claiming third in the event.
