LEXINGTON, Ky. – Coming off a weekend sweep, riding a four-game winning streak and having won 14 times in their last 17 games, the Colonels will play at Kentucky on Tuesday at Kentucky Proud Park.
The game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. and will air live on the SEC Network Plus.
INSIDE THE SERIES
- UK leads the all-time series 45-20-1. The Wildcats have won five straight since the Colonels earned a 5-4 victory over No. 28 UK on May 3, 2016.
- The teams met twice in 2021 with Kentucky picking up a 6-3 win on March 2 and a 7-6 victory on April 27. Eastern Kentucky led 6-5 late in the game before the Wildcats scored two in the eighth to take the lead.

THE COLONELS
- EKU is 17-8 overall and 5-1 in ASUN games. The Colonels have won four straight games, including a weekend sweep of Bellarmine. Eastern Kentucky is 14-3 in its last 17 games, with one of those losses at No. 2 Tennessee.

Kendal Ewell is hitting .563 with four runs, three doubles, one home run and seven RBIs the last four games. He is slugging .938. For the season, he leads the team with a .352 average.
- King is batting .387 with seven runs, three doubles, two home runs and 11 RBIs over the last 10 games. He currently leads the team in home runs (5) and RBIs (27).

Will Brian is first in the ASUN, and tied for first in the NCAA, with 10 saves. In his last 10 appearances he has nine saves and has not allowed a run in 10 and two-thirds innings. He has allowed just one hit and walked four while striking out 15. Opponents have hit .030 against him during that span.
- The pitching staff leads the ASUN with 246 strikeouts this season. The Colonels are 37th in the nation with 10.30 strikeouts per nine innings.

Isaac Milburn will start on the mound for the Colonels. He is 1-1 this season with a 5.00 ERA over 18 innings. Last week in a win over Northern Kentucky, Milburn allowed one run on five hits, walked two and struck out five in five innings.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Kentucky is 17-8 overall and 2-4 in the Southeastern Conference. The Wildcats won two of three at home against No. 14 Georgia over the weekend.
- EKU and UK share three common opponents so far this season. Kentucky beat Bellarmine (3-2), and lost to Western Kentucky (7-5) and Ohio (9-8). The Colonels swept Bellarmine, beat WKU (6-4) and won two of three against Ohio.
- Third baseman Chase Estep leads UK with a .417 average, 10 doubles, eight home runs, eight stolen bases and 34 runs. The junior from Corbin, Kentucky is tied for the team lead with 26 RBIs. He is slugging .792 and has a .521 on-base percentage.
- As a team, the Wildcats are hitting .309 and have a .410 team on-base percentage. Seven players are batting .300 or better. Kentucky has 31 steals in 34 attempts.
- Tyler Guilfoil is tied for the team lead with 10 appearances out of the bullpen. The junior right-hander is 0-0 with a 1.98 ERA and a team-best two saves. In 13 and one-third innings he has 26 strikeouts and six walks.
- Seth Logue is scheduled to start for UK. He is 1-1 this season with a 5.70 ERA. The sophomore right-hander has struck out 27 in 23 and two-thirds innings while allowing 27 hits and 16 runs. Logue pitched one inning last season in the first game against the Colonels. He allowed two runs on one hit and struck out two.
