FORT MYERS, Fla. – EKU will begin play in the ASUN Conference Tournament on Tuesday against North Florida.

The two teams take the field at 11 a.m. at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, Florida. JetBlue Park is the spring training home of the Boston Red Sox.

All ASUN Tournament games will air live on ESPN+.

After opening against No. 7 seed UNF, the sixth seeded Colonels will play No. 8 Jacksonville State on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at JetBlue Park. Eastern Kentucky will conclude pool play on Thursday against No. 5 Jacksonville at 7 p.m. at Swanson Stadium on the campus of Florida Gulf Coast University.Â

The ASUN Tournament begins with pool play, consisting of two pools of four teams each. Teams will play three games – one each against each team in its pool. After pool play, the top three teams from Pool A and the top team from Pool B will advance to the single elimination semifinals on Friday. The ASUN Championship game is scheduled for Saturday. Pool A will consist of the top four seeds – Liberty, Lipscomb, Kennesaw State and Florida Gulf Coast. The two ASUN divisional winners are seeded No. 1 and No. 2. Seeds three through eight are based solely on NCAA RPI.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- Â This will be the first-ever meeting between North Florida and Eastern Kentucky.

THE COLONELS
- EKU is 35-19 overall. Despite being picked in the preseason poll to place eighth overall, the Colonels earned a share of the ASUN West Division Championship with a 20-10 league mark. Eastern Kentucky and Lipscomb tied for the best conference record in the ASUN.
- Â The 35 wins tie the 1999 Eastern Kentucky team for the most in a season since 1990 when the Colonels won 42.

Isaac Milburn will get the ball for game one of the ASUN Tournament. The Lexington, Kentucky native is 2-4 this season with a 5.33 ERA. In 49 innings he has struck out 41 batters.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
- North Florida is 21-32 overall this season and finished fifth in the ASUN East Division with an 11-18 record. The Ospreys, who lost four of their last five to end the regular season, have the third best team batting average (.278) and the second fewest strikeouts in the ASUN, but have the fewest walks.

-  Second baseman Aidan Sweatt leads the team with a .325 average. Shortstop Isaiah Byars has a team-best 46 runs to go along with a .322 average and a team-high 13 steals. Third baseman Abraha Sequera leads UNF with 10 home runs and 51 RBIs while hitting .312.

-  Peter Holden, a redshirt sophomore left-hander, will start on the mound for North Florida. He is 4-2 with a 3.22 ERA and 54 strikeouts over 64 and one-third innings. He has allowed only 47 hits on the season.

-  Jacksonville State is 26-27 overall and placed third in the ASUN West with a 19-11 league mark. The Gamecocks secured the final spot in the tournament by winning their final five conference games.

-  Left fielder Mason Maners has a team-best .353 average. Center fielder TJ Reeves has scored a team-high 43 runs while hitting .321. Right fielder Carson Crowe has a team-best 12 home runs and 44 RBIs to go along with a .249 batting average.

-  Jacksonville University concluded the regular season with a 27-25 record. The Dolphins were fourth in the ASUN East with a 13-16 conference mark. JU, which lost two of three at Stetson to finish the regular season, has the fewest doubles and home runs in the ASUN but has the fourth-most steals.
