EKU Beach Volleyball Set For ASUN Championship This Weekend

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The EKU beach volleyball team is the No. 6 seed in the 2023 ASUN Beach Conference Tournament and will begin play in the double-elimination tournament against No. 3-seeded North Florida at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. 

The winner of EKU-UNF will advance to play the winner of Florida Gulf Coast-Austin Peay on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. The losers will meet Friday at 4:30 p.m. in an elimination match. All tournament matches will be televised on ESPN+.

  • EKU posted a program-record 15 wins this season and notched the first winning record ever in the regular season.
  • The Colonels won five consecutive matches from Mar. 3-11, the longest winning streak in program history. 
  • Hannah Keating currently owns the program record with for regular-season wins, entering the postseason with a 20-8 individual record. 
  • Keating, Sarah Mitchell, Paityn Walker, and Shannon Stone are all currently tied for the program's career wins record with 28 each. 
  • Rachel Mueller and Bella Williams have a team-leading 12 wins this season and are one away from tying the program's single-season record.
  • Keating and Stone own a program-record 19 career wins as a pair. The two set another program record with 10 consecutive wins from Mar. 24-Apr. 8.
