EKU Women's Golf to Compete at ASUN Championship

Colonels take on 11 other programs for conference supremacy

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's golf team is headed to Huntsville, Ala. for the annual ASUN Conference Championship set to begin on Sunday.
 
The three-day tournament is set to be contested between all 12 ASUN teams at the RTJ Hampton Cove Golf Course.
 
The course will play as a par-72 and 6,100 yard layout for the duration of the tournament.
 
Competing for the Colonels will be Rylea Marcum, Elizabeth Tucci, Dili Sitanonth, Elisa Orduna Shackleton, and Mattie Jo Neeley with Alice Daag as an alternate.
 
Marcum leads EKU into tournament with the team's best scoring average of 74.9 and highest ranking of any Colonel on the national scoreboard rankings at No. 588 for all of Division I.
 
The Georgetown, Ky. native will look to replicate her most recent performance from the Colonel Classic where she finished second at just two-over.
 
Closely following Marcum is Elizabeth Tucci who sits at No. 713 in the national rankings with a scoring average of 75.9.
 
Tucci's best finish this Spring came at the UNF Collegiate where she shot three-under and finished ninth overall.
