MADISON, Wisc. / EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The men's and women's cross country teams of Eastern Kentucky University finished the 2025 regular season on Friday at the Angel Mounds Invitational and Wisconsin Nuttycombe Invite.
In Evansville, Indiana the women finished in third as a team out of 19 with 110 points trailing only Cincinnati and Tennessee Tech.
The effort was spearheaded by
Khadija Ennasri who finished the 6K course in 21:14.44, a personal best by over a minute in fifth place.
Metrine Serem finished 16 seconds behind Ennasri at 21:30.7 in eight with
Morgan Kobylinski coming in next in 17
th in a time of 21:52.56.
Ann Kiplagat finished in 32
nd in a time of 22:14.53 with
Clara Barbosa closing things out in 55
th at 22:44.42.
In the men's 8K at Angel Mounds,
Cesc Boix finished 18
th in a time of 24:43.23 and
Will Cahill finished in 26
th in a time of 24:50.01.
In Wisconsin, the men of EKU finished the 8K Championship race in 20
th out of 32 total teams notably finishing ahead of the No. 1 ranked team in the country Iowa State.
Miguel Baidal led EKU with a 43
rd place finish in a time of 23:54.4 followed by Mario Priego in 81
st at 24:14.7.
German Vega (105
th),
Keeton Thornsberry (134
th), and
Griffin Staude (194
th) rounded out the scoring for EKU in 24:32.2, 24:44.4, and 25:31.8 respectively.
Also running was
Brian Kimutai who finished in a time of 25:41.8.
In the men's B race, three Colonels competed with
Cosmas Kiprop finishing in 5
th in a time of 24:38.
James Ndayishimiye finished in a time of 25:01.5 for 30
th place followed by
Ty Blair two places behind in a time of 25:01.9.
