SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. – The EKU men's golf team was led by
Anders Larson at the Babygrande Donald Ross Collegiate as the senior finished the tournament tied for fourth on Wednesday.
The senior from Pine Island, Minnesota, finished with 211 strokes (-5).
As a team, the Colonels finished 14
th out of 20 teams at 23-over.
Larson started the tournament strong, carding a 68 (-4) and 69 (-3) to open the tournament before shooting a 74 (+2) on the final day.
Larson led the field in eagles made with three across the three rounds.
Zach Watterson finished tied for 32
nd with 220 strokes (+4) across three days of competition, including his best round, which was an even-par 72 on Tuesday, helped by four birdies.
Hristo Yanakiev finished 82
nd at 12-over,
Jameson Corbin finished tied for 85
th at 14-over, and
Justin Begley finished in 98
th at 26-over.
The Colonels will now turn their eyes to the Seminole Intercollegiate beginning on March 15 at the Seminole Legacy GC in Tallahassee, Fla.
