LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Former Eastern Kentucky University men's golfer
Anders Larson has earned his first professional start on the PGA Tour after qualifying for the 2026 ISCO Championship, set for July 9-12 at Hurstbourne Country Club in Louisville.
Larson becomes one of the few former Colonels in program history to compete in an official PGA Tour event. He secured his place in the field by advancing through both pre-qualifying and open qualifying rounds earlier this month.
The Pine Island, Minnesota, native capped his collegiate career this spring by earning Second Team All-ASUN and ASUN All-Tournament Team honors after tying for third at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship with a 54-hole score of 208 (-8).
Larson paced the Colonels with a 71.3 scoring average over 32 rounds during the 2025-26 season. He recorded six top 10 finishes, including five straight events to close the year while also claiming medalist honors at the Seminole Intercollegiate on March 17.
His path to the PGA Tour event began with a 67 (-5) at the ISCO Championship pre-qualifier on July 1 at Nevel Meade Golf Club, where he tied for 14th to advance to the next round with 24 other golfers.
Five days later, Larson fired a 66 (-6) to tie for medalist honors at the open qualifier at the University of Louisville Golf Club on July 6 before surviving a four-hole playoff among eight golfers. He was one of four players to earn a berth into this week's ISCO Championship as open qualifiers.
The ISCO Championship, Kentucky's annual PGA Tour event, serves as the tour's opposite-field event this week while many of the top players compete in the Genesis Scottish Open.
Larson is scheduled to tee off Thursday, July 9 at 2:01 p.m. ET on hole one alongside Kristoffer Ventura and Jansen Preston.
Ventura enters the event ranked No. 130 in the latest FedExCup standings and is competing in his 93rd career PGA Tour event. Larson is also joined by Preston, who graduated from the University of Kentucky earlier this spring and similarly advanced to the ISCO through open qualifiers.
Live coverage of the ISCO Championship will air throughout the week on Golf Channel.
