RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University baseball team will host Buffalo and IPFW in the Logan’s Roadhouse Leadoff Tournament this weekend. The tournament will feature two games each day, Friday through Sunday. The morning games will begin at 10:00 a.m. while the afternoon games will get started at 2:00 p.m.

The baseball Colonels (0-2) are fresh off a near-upset of no. 26 Louisville on Wednesday in which the Cardinals used a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to defeat EKU after senior Matt Davis’ solo home run in the top of the ninth tied it.

Outfielders Aaron Barrows and Ryan Faidley both enter the tournament batting .500. Senior Tyler Rehmel leads the Colonels with three RBI while Davis has scored a team-best five runs.

Buffalo enters the weekend with a record of 3-1 while IPFW has yet to play a game in 2009.
