DeLAND, Fla. – Host Stetson defeated the Eastern Kentucky University women’s tennis team Wednesday afternoon, 7-0. The Colonels (5-10) dropped all three matches on their spring break trip.
Freshman
Catarina Branco (No. 6) played the closest match of the day. Branco won the opening set of her match before falling in a super tie-breaker to Stetson’s Jacqueline Faulk, 13-11.
“We were certainly more competitive than the scores indicated today,” EKU head coach
Rob Oertel said.
The Colonels return home to begin OVC play on Saturday, March 20 with matches against Murray State and Tennessee State.
