JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis had five student-athletes named Academic All-ASUN, the league announced Monday morning.

Masha Fedenko,
Sasha Parkhomenko and
Ceylin Ipek were all recognized for their performance on the court and in the classroom.
The Colonels' five all-academic selections were the second-most in the Atlantic Sun Conference, trailing only North Florida's six.
Bakytzhan, a junior from Astana, Kazakhstan, carries a 3.94 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) while pursuing a degree in sports management. On the court, she recorded four singles victories during the spring season against Northern Kentucky, Bowling Green, Southern Indiana, and Bellarmine from court No. 6.
Cherniakova, a sophomore from Kamianske, Ukraine, owns a 3.85 GPA while majoring in general business. She has totaled 12 combined wins in singles and doubles this season, including a team-high nine victories in doubles play.
Fedenko, a senior from Dnipro, Ukraine, holds a 3.63 GPA while pursuing a degree in sports management. She has recorded nine combined singles and doubles wins this spring and carries a 9-11 overall record from court No. 2. Fedenko was named ASUN Player of the Week on Feb. 17 after winning four consecutive singles matches against Northern Kentucky, UNC Asheville, Western Kentucky, and Bowling Green.
Parkhomenko, a senior from Kharkiv, Ukraine, maintains a 3.60 GPA while also pursuing a degree in sports management. She has primarily competed on EKU's No. 1 singles court this spring and earned a key road victory over Dayton's Natalie Osiecki, 7-5, 6-0, on Jan. 19. Parkhomenko has also totaled eight doubles wins across all three courts.
Ipek, a sophomore from Izmir, Turkey, rounds out the honorees with a 3.55 GPA while working toward a degree in sports management. She has combined for 10 wins in dual matches this spring and has seen action on EKU's No. 1 singles court, earning victories over regional rivals Northern Kentucky and Western Kentucky.
EKU will open play at the 2026 ASUN Women's Tennis Championship against No. 7 seed Lipscomb on April 16 at 9 a.m. ET in Fort Myers, Florida.
