RICHMOND, Ky. – Four Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis student-athletes were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
The CSC Academic All-District® Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Representing EKU were
Ceylin Ipek,
Masha Fedenko,
Sasha Parkhomenko and
Zhansaya Bakytzhan.
Bakytzhan, a junior from Kazakhstan, posted a 3.94 GPA while pursuing a degree in sports management. She finished the season with a 4-10 singles record while primarily competing on court six.
Fedenko, a senior from Ukraine, recorded a 3.63 GPA while majoring in sports management. She ranked second on the team in singles victories, posting a 9-14 overall record while competing primarily on the top two courts.
Parkhomenko, also a native of Ukraine, maintained a 3.60 GPA while earning a degree in sports management. She collected three singles victories while playing on the top three flights during the season.
Ipek posted a 3.55 GPA while pursuing a degree in business. She compiled a 6-15 singles record during the 2025-26 campaign.
EKU finished the 2025-26 season with a 10-15 overall record, marking the program's first double-digit win season since returning in 2022. The Colonels also went 7-4 in true home matches and earned a berth into the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament.
