RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University baseball team will host Western Carolina in a two-game midweek series this Tuesday and Wednesday at Turkey Hughes Field. Both games are scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.

Greg Terry picked up the win in EKU’s lone victory over WCU while senior

Austin Grisham batted .600 in the series while junior
Jacob Daniel hit .429 with a team-best four RBI, three of which came on his second home run of the season in game two. Junior
Richie Rodriguez continues to lead the Colonels at the plate this season as he is hitting .583 and is tied for the OVC lead with 14 hits.
Senior southpaw
Paul Duncan, who won five games for the Colonels last year, will make his 2011 debut against the Catamounts as he is scheduled to start game one on Tuesday. EKU’s Wednesday starter has yet to be determined.
WCU swept OVC school Morehead State to open this season, fell to Wake Forest and then took two of three from Manhattan at home last weekend.
Ross Hefley paces the Catamounts’ offensive attack with a .571 batting average and 14 RBI.

EKU head coach Stein played second base for the Colonels from 1992-95, while WCU head coach Moranda was an EKU outfielder from 1985-86.
