RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women’s tennis team completed its 2011 home schedule with a tough 4-3 loss to Jacksonville State Saturday. The Colonels (10-10, 2-3 OVC) play their final three regular season matches on the road.

Eastern opened the match by taking the doubles point, but Jacksonville State (7-10, 4-1) rallied to win four of the six singles contests. JSU’s Ralphaela Lima clinched the win by defeating freshman Milena Poffo at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2.

Sophomore Jessica Albuquerque picked up her fifth straight win with a straight-set victory at No. 1 singles.

Four of EKU’s five OVC matches have ended with a score of 4-3.

Eastern Kentucky is back in action on Tuesday, April 5 at Morehead State.
