Kentucky Downs EKU in Women's Tennis, 4-0

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Host Kentucky won the top three singles matches in straight sets on the way to a 4-0 victory over the Eastern Kentucky University women’s tennis team Tuesday morning in the Boone Tennis Complex.

The Wildcats move to 7-2 with the win while the Colonels fall to 5-4.

Sophomore Melissa Gerritsen was up a set at No. 4 singles when the team outcome was decided.

Eastern Kentucky will next play its final home indoor match of the winter this Friday, March 1 against Lindsey Wilson. Match time is set for 10 a.m.
