HARDIN, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women’s tennis team cruised to a 4-1 win over Murray State Sunday afternoon. The match was played indoors at Kenlake Tennis Club due to inclement weather.
Eastern (9-5, 2-0 OVC) took four of the six singles matches in straight sets. The Colonels were ahead at No. 5 singles when the match was halted.
“Our top two players are certainly locked in and focused,” EKU head coach
Rob Oertel said. “They beat a pair of 2012 All-OVC players today.”
Eastern Kentucky returns home next weekend to host OVC foes Belmont and Tennessee State.
