RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women’s tennis team blanked visiting Belmont Saturday afternoon by a count of 7-0.
EKU (10-5, 3-0 OVC) reached double-figure wins for the 11th consecutive year under head coach
Rob Oertel. The Colonels won all six singles matches in straight sets.
“We had some great scores today,” Oertel said. “Our team is doing great job of not letting the opposition gain any confidence against us. We are getting on top early and staying out in front.”
Through three OVC matches, Eastern is 16-1 in individual singles matches.
Eastern Kentucky is right back in action tomorrow, March 24, with a home match against Tennessee State.
