JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Eastern Kentucky's baseball team lost both games of an Ohio Valley Conference doubleheader at Jacksonville State on Saturday. JSU won the first game 10-1 and then scored a run in the bottom of the 11th inning to take game two 3-2.

Sean Hagen later scored on a fielding error for a 2-0 lead.
The Gamecocks (28-21, 16-10 OVC) got one back in the bottom of the second on an RBI double by Gavin Golsan. The score remained 2-1 until Ryan Sebra scored on a wild pitch with two outs in the bottom of the eight to tie the score.
A lead-off walk and a stolen base by Golsan in the 11th inning got the winning run to second base. Micha Bishop followed with a game-winning single to center.
Logan Hershenow was strong in relief for Eastern Kentucky. He came on in the third and pitched through the 10th inning. The junior allowed one run on seven hits in seven and one-third innings. He did not walk a batter and struck out three. Hagen finished 2-for-5 with a run scored.
The Gamecocks scored seven runs in the first two innings of game one and never looked back. Eastern trailed 10-0 when Taylor Blair hit a two-out solo home run in the ninth inning. It was the freshman's fourth homer of the season.
Four different Colonels recorded one hit each.
Bryan Soloman saw his 18-game hitting streak come to an end after going 0-for-4. JSU's Zachary Fowler (6-5) shut EKU out for seven innings. He allowed just two hits and did not walk or strike out a batter.
The two teams will conclude their three-game series on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.
