RICHMOND, Ky.
– Less than 48 hours after defeating in-state rival Morehead State, the Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball team is right back at it, hosting Jacksonville State on Monday at McBrayer Arena. Tip time is set for 1:00 p.m. ET.

The game was originally scheduled to be played on Wednesday, February 18, but was pushed to Monday due to last week's winter weather.

EKU (9-14, 4-9 OVC) erased a 10-point halftime deficit to beat Morehead State, 70-64, on Saturday. The Colonels have now won seven of their last eight of the Eagles.

Junior Shameekia Murray led Eastern to the come-from-behind victory, matching a career-high with 22 points. All 22 of her points came in the second half.

Free throws also made a difference in EKU's win. The Colonels made their final 20 free throws of the game, including all 18 they attempted in the second half. Junior Shelly Harper made four in the final 11 seconds to seal the victory.

Jacksonville State (17-9, 8-6 OVC) lost to Tennessee State, 74-66, in overtime on Saturday, falling to fifth place in the conference standings.

Candace Morton leads the Gamecocks at 12.5 points-per-game.

This is the 26th all-time meeting between EKU and JSU. The Colonels lead the series, 17-8.

Following Monday's game, EKU will travel to Belmont on Wednesday before hosting Tennessee Tech in its regular season finale on Saturday.
