LEXINGTON, Ky. – The EKU women's tennis team fell 6-1 against the 20th ranked University of Kentucky on Sunday at the Hilary J. Boone Center.
 
Freshman Margaux Lacroix highlighted the match for EKU, picking up an 8-6 win over Kentucky's Kate Lanier at the No.6 slot. Lacroix's victory improved her record to 6-1 on the season in singles play.
 
Kentucky hauled in the first two doubles matches, but EKU's Laura Argente and Raquel Montalvo were in a tight match, trailing 3-2 at the No. 1 slot when the match was called due to time constraints.
 
The Wildcats went on to claim the five of the six singles' points to win the match.
 
EKU is back in action against the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on Saturday. Saturday's match is scheduled for 1 p.m.
