CINCINNATI, Ohio – The EKU women's tennis team traveled northbound to take on Xavier University, as the Colonels fell to the home standing Musketeers, 6-1, Friday at the Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club.

Viktorija Demcenkova highlighted Friday's match, rallying from behind to win at No. 4 singles. Demcenkova lost the first set, before taking the second set, forcing a tiebreaker on her way to the victory. With the win, Demcenkova is now 2-1 in singles play on the season.
Xavier (3-2), who recently upset No. 55 Indiana University, claimed the doubles point and an early 1-0 lead over the Colonels. The Musketeers took five singles' points on their way to the win.
EKU has a short break, as it hosts the University of Indianapolis on Saturday at the Greg Adams Tennis Center. Saturday's match is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
