HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Eastern Kentucky ill play at Marshall on Tuesday at 3 p.m.

The Colonels picked up road wins at No. 13 Mississippi State, Alabama A&M and Belmont last week and are 10-10 overall this season.

The Thundering Herd are 10-8 after losing two of three to Southern Mississippi over the weekend.  Marshall has split its last two midweek games, falling at home to Ohio 4-1 before beating Morehead State 6-5 in 12 innings.

Right-hander Chris Cervantes will start for Eastern Kentucky.  He is 0-0 with an 8.53 ERA in four appearances this season.  The senior started the game at No. 13 Mississippi State last week.

Left-handed freshman Joshua Shapiro will start on the mound for Marshall.  He is 0-1 with a 4.70 ERA in eight appearances, including two weekday starts.

EKU senior shortstop Doug Teegarden continues to lead the nation in walks.  Senior third baseman Mandy Alvarez is third in hits.  Senior outfielder Kyle Nowlin has the fifth most home runs in the country.
