EKU Baseball Plays at Dayton Tuesday

RICHMOND, Ky. -
The EKU baseball team is heading to Dayton, Ohio to play at the University of Dayton on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
 
The Colonels (11-13) picked up a walk-off victory Saturday evening at home against Evansville.  Sophomore Daniel McFarland notched his seventh RBI of the season with a single to score the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning.  
 
The Flyers (5-17) are coming off a sweep last weekend at the hands of St. Louis, but won their last midweek game against Toledo last Tuesday, 14-6.
 
Right-hander Chris Cervantes will be on the mound for Eastern. The senior is 0-0 through five appearances on the season with a 6.94 ERA.
 
Left-hander Mason Kutruff will start for Dayton. Kutruff is 0-3 on the season through six appearances with a 10.43 ERA.
 
Senior Kyle Nowlin is tied for second in the nation in home runs.  EKU senior shortstop Doug Teegarden is currently ranked seventh in the nation in walks, while senior outfielder Mandy Alvarez ranks ninth in hits.
