KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky will look to pick up its second win against a Southeastern Conference team this season when the Colonels play at Tennessee on Tuesday.
First pitch at Lindsey Nelson Stadium is scheduled for 6 p.m. On March 15, EKU trailed No. 13 Mississippi State 12-6 in the top of the eighth inning, but scored six runs to tie it and then beat the Bulldogs 16-12 in 10 innings.
The Colonels trailed 4-0, 7-1, 9-4 and 12-6 before coming all the way back to win. It was EKU's first victory over a ranked team since beating No. 16 Louisville on March 3, 2009 and the first win over a Southeastern Conference team since beating Tennessee, 8-7, on March 3, 2010.

Taylor Blair and
Ben Fisher have led the Eastern Kentucky (17-24) offense over the last 10 games. Alvarez is batting .400 with two home runs, 10 runs and nine RBIs during that time. Blair is also batting .400. Fisher has hit .385 with two home runs and seven RBIs in the last 10 games.
Alvarez is seventh in the nation with 67 hits this season. Senior

Tennessee (23-17) won two out of three games this past weekend against No. 4 Vanderbilt.
