RICHMOND, Ky.  – The EKU women's tennis team picked up a convincing 6-1 win over visiting Arkansas State University Saturday at the Greg Adams Tennis Center.

The Colonels (4-4) wasted no time Saturday, clinching the doubles point after wins from
Viktorija Demcenkova and Putri Dwinta won at the No. 2 spot and
Kristina Lagoda and Marina Marti won 6-3 at No. 3 doubles.

ASU's Julie Gauguery's singles win was the lone victory of the day for the Redwolves, as the Colonels swept the remaining five singles points.

Dwinta's two-set win marked her fourth straight. Marti and
Margaux Lacroix also notched their second straight win.

Eastern Kentucky returns to action March 5 as its hosts Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College at the Greg Adams Tennis Center.
