Women's Tennis Set for Big Weekend At Home

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis team is set for a big weekend of tennis, welcoming in conference foe Jacksonville State on Friday and Marshall on Sunday.
 
The Colonels won 1-of-2 last weekend in Illinois after edging Eastern Illinois 4-3 and then dropping a match to undefeated Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
 
After sweeping the doubles point against the Panthers, EKU (6-8, 2-2 OVC) won at No. 3 and No. 4 singles. Margaux Lacroix notched a clutch victory at No. 6 singles to seal the match.
 
The Gamecocks (3-12, 0-4 OVC) come into the contest on an 11 match skid, while Marshall carries in a 10-8 mark.
 
Friday's match is scheduled for 2 p.m. and first serve on Sunday is set for 10 a.m.
