RICHMOND, Ky. – EKU won four singles matches on its way to a 5-2 victory over Belmont Friday morning at the Greg Adams Indoor Tennis Center.
 
In doubles play Sagung Putri Dwinta and Marina Marti made quick work of Abbie Mather and Maddie Gilley at No. 3 doubles with a 6-1 victory. Kristina Lagoda and Viktorija Demcenkova then clinched the doubles point at No. 1 doubles with a 6-4 win over the Bruins.
 
Demcenkova, Margaux Lacroix and Marina Marti all collected wins in singles play with Lagoda notching the clincher over Laura Kent by scores of 6-3, 4-6 and 6-0.
 
The Colonels improve to 4-2 in league play and 8-9 overall. Belmont moves to 3-15, 1-6 in Ohio Valley Conference play.
 
Eastern will conclude the home portion of its 2017 schedule on Saturday against Tennessee State University at the Tom Higgins Tennis Courts.  The match is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
