RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's team downed Arkansas State University, 6-1, Saturday afternoon at the Greg Adams Tennis Center.

Viktorija Demcenkova and Laura Argente teamed up at No. 1 doubles to make quick work of the Red Wolves (0-7), defeating the ASU duo 6-1.
Alexandra Belle and
Lisa Friess claimed the victory at No. 2 doubles, 6-4, clinching the doubles point for the Colonels.

Demcenkova came out hot in singles, winning at No. 2 convincingly, 6-2, 6-2.
Kristina Lagoda took down Shelby King at No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-4 to move the score to 3-0 in favor of EKU.

Belle picked up her second win of the day at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-2, to give the Colonels the match.

Argente and
Margaux Lacroix also picked up singles wins on the day at No. 3 and No. 6, respectively.

The Colonels (2-1) will close their four-match home swing on Tuesday as they welcome in Lindsey Wilson. The contest is set to begin at 2 p.m.
