RICHMOND, Ky. –
The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis team buried Lindsey Wilson, 7-0, Tuesday afternoon at the Greg Adams Tennis Center.

After making quick work of the Blue Raiders in doubles, Viktorija Demcenkova was the first to take down her opponent at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-0. Alexandra Belle finished next, topping Fiona Curty 6-1, 6-2.

"Lindsey Wilson is a good program," stated Head Coach Rob Oertel. "I was very pleased with our progress in doubles. I hope we can continue to grow in both doubles and singles, but especially doubles. It's a very important point for us this year. But, to not drop a set in singles is a very positive result for us against a good team."

Kristina Lagoda clinched the match at No. 1 singles after winning 6-0, 7-5.

Laura Argente, Lisa Friess and Putri Dwinta also picked up wins.

Lindsey Wilson (0-1) came into the match ranked No. 2 in NAIA and were the 2017 NAIA National Championship Runner Up.

The Colonels (3-1) will be back in action at Indiana University on Friday. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and live statistics will be available.
